AC Milan want Joe Hart to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma

Milan have been in crisis mode after Gianluigi Donnarumma rejected a new deal and after reviewing many goalkeepers, Joe Hart has emerged as Milan's number one target.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The Sunday Express has reported that AC Milan want Joe Hart to replace the outgoing Gianluigi Donnarumma. The young Italian goalkeeper recently rejected a new deal at the club and Milan have been forced to look for a new keeper for the upcoming season.

Many expected Genoa's Mattia Perin to make the move, although Juventus' second choice keeper Neto and Roma's Wojciech Szczesny were also linked.

Genoa's reluctance to sell Perin and Juventus' interests in Szczesny have forced Milan to look elsewhere and they seem to have finally found their man - Joe Hart.

The England international was loaned out from Manchester City to Torino after Guardiola deemed him not good enough for the City side. Hart went on to have a less than impressive season for Torino, keeping only 5 clean sheets in 34 games and conceding 57 goals.

However, Milan are believed to have looked at his record in previous seasons before making their decision. With Torino financially unable to make Hart's move permanent due to his hefty wages, Milan will now step in. The deal is expected to be similar to Torino's where a loan move will be arranged with an option to sign the Englishman on a permanent deal after.
