Manchester United agree Januzaj exit

22 June 2017 - 05:00

Manchester United have agreed to sell Adnan Januzaj to La Liga side Real Sociedad for a fee of £9.7 million. After making an impressive breakthrough at Old Trafford, the Belgian youngster has failed to make a lasting impression at the club.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Given his chance by then manager, David Moyes, Januzaj burst on to the Manchester United scene and was tipped by many to go on to become a real star. However, Januzaj has failed to impress both Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, finding himself loaned out for the majority of their management spells.

Sunderland agreed a loan deal for Januzaj for the duration of last season, but he struggled to find form, leaving Black Cats supporters underwhelmed with his performances.

Jose Mourinho has made it clear that Adnan Januzaj is not part of his future plans for Manchester United, resulting in the club selling whilst they can before risking losing him for free.

FranceFootball says the two clubs have agreed a £9.7 million fee, meaning that all is left to do now is for Januzaj to agree on personal terms with the La Liga club, as he looks to rejuvenate his career at this early stage.
