Arsenal's summer signing Alexandre Lacazette feels Reiss Nelson will evolve into a top player for the Gunners. The youngster impressed during the Gunners' pre-season tour of Australia and China, and he recently made his competitive debut in the Europa League clash against Koln.
Nelson made a cameo appearance in the 3-1 triumph over Koln last week where Jack Wilshere also got a run-out following his recovery from a leg fracture.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, Lacazette spoke fondly about Nelson, who has already notched six goals for the Under 23s this season. He was also named the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for August, and Lacazette predicts a huge future ahead for the 17-year-old.
“I think he’s very good. I believe he will be a top player for the club. He already impressed me during pre-season and it’s great to see what he’s doing for the under-23s. His stats are very good and he’s performing well," Lacazette told Arsenal Player.
Arsenal secured a well-earned 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and they will now shift their focus to the League Cup clash versus Doncaster Rovers in midweek.
