Barcelona planning shock move for Coutinho's Liverpool teammate

Barcelona have reportedly switched their attention to Liverpool's Sadio Mane after they failed to sign Philippe Coutinho from the Merseyside club in the summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Catalan giants had three bids rebuffed for the Brazil international during the summer transfer window, and they eventually ended their pursuit with Liverpool maintaining their not-for-sale stance.

According to The Mirror, the Reds could have another transfer battle on their hands with Barcelona now planning an approach to sign Senegalese attacker Sadio Mane.

The former Southampton star is also attracting strong interest from other elite clubs with Real Madrid and Juventus also keeping tabs on his performance.

Mane, who is currently serving a three-match domestic suspension, has been in top form for Jurgen Klopp's side this season, scoring three goals in his four league appearances.

The 25-year-old was also named as the Reds' Player of the Year in his debut Reds season last term despite missing the final few months with a troublesome knee problem.
