Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he considered Jose Mourinho as his enemy whilst the manager was working at Stamford Bridge.
The 30-year-old had previously competed against Mourinho with former clubs Arsenal and Barcelona where he faced Chelsea and Real Madrid on a regular basis.
Fabregas sealed his Premier League return with Chelsea in 2014, and the Spaniard admits that he shared the rivalry with Mourinho in a positive manner.
"Mourinho was my enemy when he was in charge at Madrid or Chelsea, competing and wanting to beat him," he told Vanity Fair.
"From there I became his player at Chelsea and would go with him to the death. I learned a lot, I have a very positive memory of him. Forever."
Fabregas has won two Premier League titles in his three-year stay in west London, and he has insisted that he is 'too happy' to consider a potential switch elsewhere.
The World Cup winner has played as an attacking midfielder for Chelsea during the early part of the campaign, but Conte is likely to play him deeper against Watford on Saturday due to the ongoing midfield crisis.
Both Tiemoue Bakayoko and David Luiz sustained knocks in the 3-3 Champions League draw versus AS Roma, and the Blues presently have one fit central midfielder in their ranks.
