Liverpool have reportedly been left angered by Barcelona's renewed attempt to sign Philippe Coutinho in the New Year. The Catalan giants have offered Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes as a makeweight to convince the Reds to do business.
Jurgen Klopp's side turned down three bids from the Spanish outfit in the summer with the highest offer being £114m plus add-ons - made late in the transfer window.
According to Don Balon, Ernesto Valverde's men have not given up on their pursuit of Coutinho, and they have offered Gomes in a part-exchange deal for the Brazil international.
Gomes has not quite lived up to his expectation since his switch from Valencia in 2016, and he has started just two league outings under the new management.
Meanwhile, the La Liga outfit are also prepared to offer one of Aleix Vidal or Arda Turan in a player-plus-cash deal, but Liverpool are not keen on discussing a move for either.
Coutinho has had multiple injury concerns since the start of the season, and he has still contributed directly to seven goals in just nine appearances for the Merseyside giants.
