Harry Redknapp has praised Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones ahead of Portsmouth's Premiership battle with the Black Cats on Saturday. Redknapp has pinpointed Kenwyne as the main threat at the weekend.

  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • "Kenwyne Jones is a threat, and I've been impressed with him; he's a fantastic athlete with a great leap and he caused us problems before.

"I've seen him batter a lot of defenders this season, and when I worked with him at Southampton."

"I've heard some people calling him the new Drogba - and that's possible," added Redknapp.

"At one time he needed to be more aggressive, and it seems like the penny is dropping with him.

"But he has pushed on. He has got it all and Roy Keane has managed to get the best out of him.

"Roy is pushing him and pushing him, and Kenwyne probably realises what he can achieve now."
