Premier League duo Chelsea and Arsenal could reportedly go head-to-head in the pursuit of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak at the end of the season.
According to The Express, the Gunners are looking into a new goalkeeper who can replace the ageing Petr Cech as the new number one whilst the Blues are concerned over the future of Thibaut Courtois.
Courtois, 26, has been regularly linked with a potential return to Madrid, and this has become a realistic possibility, should he fail to reach agreement over a fresh deal beyond June 2019.
As per The Express, both clubs are keeping tabs on the situation of Oblak, who has refused to rule out a move away from Wanda Metropolitano during the summer.
However, any side interested will have to trigger his £88m release clause with Atleti reluctant to discuss anything less for the Slovenian's signature.
Liverpool are also monitoring the world-class shot-stopper, though they have earmarked AS Roma's Alisson Becker as their prime target for the summer.
