Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk believes Mohamed Salah can be unstoppable, and he is backing the Egyptian to make the difference during Wednesday's Champions League game versus Manchester City.
The Premier League teams are separated by 18 points in their domestic division, but the previous occasion in which they met, the Reds secured a 4-3 triumph over Pep Guardiola's side.
Speaking ahead of the City game, Van Dijk has backed the 25-year-old to put in another top-notch performance as the Reds look to their Champions League hopes alive.
He told Sky Sports: "That's what everyone knows. That's how we feel as well. He's that kind of player that you just need to be on your best. When he is 100 percent and in the zone then he can beat anyone. There are ways to stop him but I'm not going to tell you because I don't want our opponents to think about it."
Salah notched his 36th goal of the campaign during the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League, and he is now only behind Barcelona's Lionel Messi in terms of the most goals scored through the season.
Liverpool managed to quickly take a 4-1 lead over the Citizens during their previous outing before they shipped in a couple of goals, and they will need to be wary of conceding similarly with the away-goal rule at stake.
