Chelsea favourite Frank Lampard was pleased with the Blues' 2-0 win over Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday. Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata found the scoresheet in the second half of the game but Lampard was particularly delighted with the showing of Eden Hazard.
Speaking after the game, he told BT Sport: "They got the result that they deserved and had a couple of elements of good fortune in the second half. Generally, the performance, and Eden Hazard was incredible today."
Hazard's performance levels seem to drop during the months of February and March but he has risen to the occasions ever since the 3-2 Premier League comeback at St Mary's.
The Belgian has not given on the Blues' pursuit of a top-four finish to the campaign but they are more or less in hope that the clubs above them suffer a drastic drop in form.
Chelsea are currently five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham in the standings whilst they trail third-placed Liverpool by eight points with a game in hand.
