Manchester United will reportedly have to pay up a fee of around £53m to pursue the signature of Alex Sandro from Juventus.
The Brazil international was strongly linked with United prior to the FA Cup final versus Chelsea last month but there has since been little indication of any progress towards the player.
According to Mediaset Premium, the Bianconeri are prepared to part ways with Sandro during this summer's transfer window but they are said to want at least £53m for the left-back.
United boss Jose Mourinho has already witnessed the arrival of Diogo Dalot, who is expected to strengthen the right-back role and it will be interesting to see whether the Portuguese is willing to match Juventus' price tag for Sandro.
Apart from the Brazilian, United have also been linked with the likes of Cedric Soares and Jose Gaya from Southampton and Valencia respectively but neither have the vast Champions League experience which Sandro possesses.
