Danny Ings makes key decision over his Liverpool future

26 June 2018 - 14:51

Liverpool striker Danny Ings has reportedly decided to part ways with the club after failing to establish himself as a regular under Jurgen Klopp last season.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The forward has been hampered by a couple of long-term injuries at Anfield and this has restricted him to more of a bench role with Roberto Firmino acting as the leading striker in the club's ranks.

As such, Ings appears to have decided to pursue a fresh challenge and according to The Telegraph, he is prepared to snub a contract extension with the Reds.

Ings, who has two years remaining on his current deal, managed just three Premier League starts for the Reds last term, and all of those came during the final weeks of the campaign.

Aside from Ings, the future of Daniel Sturridge also remains uncertain beyond the summer after struggling with fitness concerns in recent years. He has been tipped to seal a move to Besiktas next month.
