Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will receive a new and improved contract amid the ongoing interest from Chelsea, The Sun reports.
After an impressive World Cup performance for England, the former Sunderland goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Chelsea as the Blues look for a replacement for Thibaut Courtois who wants to join Real Madrid.
Pickford joined Everton from Sunderland in the summer of 2017 for £30m and signed a five-year contract. Everton do not want to sell and are hoping to ensure the player stays by offering him an improved contract.
Everton have not had it easy in the transfer market having only completed the signing of Richarlison from Watford for £50m. New boss Marco Silva wants to keep hold of his best players with the season just 10 days away.
Everton are also looking to bolster their defence and are in the hunt for Barcelona duo of Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne with the latter close to joining the Toffees after leaving the La Liga champions' pre-season camp.
