Barcelona agree terms with Manchester United World Cup winner

07 August 2018 - 10:33

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has agreed a deal with Barcelona to join them ahead of the 2018/19 season.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • According to Mirror Football, the former Juventus midfielder has agreed a five-year deal worth £100m with the La Liga Champions.

This report is coming after United rejected a player plus cash offer from Barca that included £45million, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

Pogba is reportedly open to a move out of Old Trafford amid a rift with boss Jose Mourinho.

The United academy graduate ignored Jose Mourinho's plea for World Cup players to return early to pre-season training, further increasing tensions between himself and the boss.

With two days left for the transfer window in England to close, United have a very short time to seek and acquire a replacement for Pogba - a player they will most likely refuse to sell.

After the window shuts by 5pm on Thursday, Barcelona will still be able to chase the player till the end of August, prolonging the chance that he could leave.
