Colombia and Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina will this week seal a move to join Turkish giants Besiktas. It is understood that the Gunners will receive a £5.5 million transfer fee for Ospina.

  • Ospina, who had represented Colombia at the World Cup this summer, has been told he has no future at the Emirates Stadium since the arrival of hot prospect German shot-stopper Bernd Leno. Petr Cech and Leno are expected to compete for a place in Arsenal's starting lineup this season.

Besiktas have been locked in talks with Arsenal for over three months regarding a move for Ospina, and had hoped to sign the Colombian player on a loan as opposed to a permanent deal.

However an agreement has now been reached for the former Nice goalkeeper and Ospina will fly to Turkey for talks this weekend.

According to a report from Turkey, Besiktas will beat bitter rivals Galatasaray as well as French side Monaco to sign Ospina from Arsenal.
