David Ospina set for Besiktas transfer move
Colombia and Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina will this week seal a move to join Turkish giants Besiktas. It is understood that the Gunners will receive a £5.5 million transfer fee for Ospina.
Ospina, who had represented Colombia at the World Cup this summer, has been told he has no future at the Emirates Stadium since the arrival of hot prospect German shot-stopper Bernd Leno. Petr Cech and Leno are expected to compete for a place in Arsenal's starting lineup this season.
Besiktas have been locked in talks with Arsenal for over three months regarding a move for Ospina, and had hoped to sign the Colombian player on a loan as opposed to a permanent deal.
However an agreement has now been reached for the former Nice goalkeeper and Ospina will fly to Turkey for talks this weekend.
According to a report from Turkey, Besiktas will beat bitter rivals Galatasaray as well as French side Monaco to sign Ospina from Arsenal.
