Serie A side consider move for Martial

13 August 2018 - 09:42

AC Milan are considering a move for Manchester United's attacker Anthony Martial, according to reports.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Mikel Arteta confirms big injury boost for Spurs clash

  • The winger has been linked with a move out of Old Trafford all summer, and recently had problems with Jose Mourinho after failing to re-join the squad on time after flying to France for the birth of his child.

According to La Repubblica, Milan could make an enquiry about the availability of the player before the transfer window closes.

Martial was an unused substitute in United's 2-1 win over Leicester City in the opening game of the Premier League on Friday night.

Martial has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Chelsea, but with the transfer window in England closed, a Stamford Bridge transfer this summer is impossible.

Bayern have also said that they don't need an additional winger, given the number of wide attackers they currently possess.

With the transfer window in England shut, United will probably not sell the player, based on the fact that they won't be able to sign a replacement.
