David Ospina on the brink of Arsenal exit

16 August 2018 - 13:31

Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina is reportedly on the cusp of leaving Arsenal with Napoli said to have agreed on a season-long loan for his services.

  • Man Utd handed boost in signing West Ham star?
  • Barcelona have genuine interest in Chelsea forward
  • The 29-year-old has already been deemed surplus to requirements after the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the summer and Evening Standard now reports that he is close to sealing a loan exit.

As per the publication, the Colombian is presently in Naples undergoing the final formalities before joining Carlo Ancelotti's side on an initial loan agreement.

The Serie A giants are expected to pay a fee of around £895,000 to push through the temporary deal before handing a further £3.58m to make his move permanent next summer.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has gone with Petr Cech as the first-choice goalkeeper for the start of the Premier League campaign but that could change in the coming games, should the veteran make any blatant mistakes.
