Man City back for Chiellini

Man City back for Chiellini

09 March 2008 - 09:39

Manchester City have reportedly resurrected their interest in Italian international defender Giorgio Chiellini. It seemed that Sven Goran Eriksson might snap up the player last summer, but at the last minute decided against completing a move.

  • Chelsea plan shock swoop for Sporting CP star
  • Chelsea have clear stance on signing Victor Osimhen
  • The Juventus defender has fallen out of favour with Claudio Ranieri, who is looking to offload the defender.

Man City were prepared last season to pay £10 million, and while Thaksin Shinawatra has guaranteed more funds for players to Sven Goran, Chiellini could be another ideal target for the Swede.

The 22 year old may now only command a fee of around £6.5 million, something Manchester City will be more happy with paying.
