Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has spoken about the prospect of taking Chelsea midfielder Ethan Ampadu on loan during the second half of the ongoing campaign.
The 18-year-old has already made himself a regular with the Wales national side but he has yet to make a similar impression under new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.
Ampadu would no doubt receive some gametime in the Cup competitions but Warnock has suggested that the Blues would be best served to loan him to the newly-promoted Premier League outfit.
"They should loan him to us. What I like about him is that he is so confident. He plays the game simple. He will have to quicken up a little bit when he gets higher up because he will get caught," he said, via Metro.
The comments were made prior to the Premier League encounter between Chelsea and Cardiff which the former won by a comfortable 4-1 scoreline despite trailing at the start.
Eden Hazard starred in the game with his first league hat-trick since 2014 and this has helped the Blues cement the top position in the standings on goal difference to Liverpool.
