Alan Shearer believes that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will lose his job after yet another defeat for his side in the league.
United were beaten by West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, continuing their poor campaign this term.
The all-time Premier League top scorer doesn't see Mourinho turning things around, and blasted United's performance against the Hammers, describing it as hopeless.
“I think Mourinho will lose his job,” Shearer said, Manchester Evening News reports. “I can’t see him turning it around. They were hopeless from start to finish. Too slow, lethargic and very weak.”
Before the start of this season, Jose Mourinho had predicted that United will have a difficult campaign, given the fact that they failed to sign the players he wanted. Looking at United's performance so far, it looks like Mourinho was right.
With the season still quite early, it remains to be seen how long Mourinho will last as United boss, should this poor form continue.
