Chelsea's out of form striker Alvaro Morata could be headed back to his homeland of Spain with a move to La Liga giants Sevilla. Morata's agent is rumoured to have been spotted in Sevilla and is believed to have held talks with the club regarding a January loan deal.

  • Since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, Alvaro has found his first-team opportunities limited at the club, with Eden Hazard preferred as first choice striker at Stamford Bridge. Morata has also had to play second fiddle on occasion to French striker Olivier Giroud.

Morata is known to be keen to return to his homeland in search of regular football.

The 26-year-old arrived at the Blues for a £60 million transfer fee but has so far failed to live up to expectations in the Premier League.

Sevilla's director of football Joaquin Caparros is believed to have held talks with Morata's agent Juanma Lopez regarding a transfer deal and it is rumoured that Morata could even make a permanent switch at the end of the year if he impresses sufficiently during his temporary spell back in his homeland.
