Tottenham Hotspur to re-sign Gareth Bale?

Tottenham Hotspur could be prepared to make an attempt to sign Gareth Bale on a season-long loan from Real Madrid when the transfer window reopens.

  • The Wales international left the north London side for Los Blancos in the summer of 2013 and he has since netted 101 goals in 219 games for the club across all competitions.

However, he faces an uncertain future with the return of Zinedine Zidane at the helm alongside the regular criticism from the supporters, who expect more consistency from him in terms of the performances.

Spanish outlet AS claims that Mauricio Pochettino's side are prepared to lodge a temporary move for their former player, but they would only be willing to cover part of the player's hefty wages.

It remains to be seen whether the reigning European champions entertain such kind of a deal, considering Zidane is expected to make significant changes to the squad in the summer.

The Frenchman is said to be planning a spending spree worth £350m for the summer and this may witness the permanent exit of several regulars including Bale to recoup additional funds.
