Liverpool enter the race to sign Juventus forward?

20 March 2019 - 17:40

Liverpool are understood to be planning a concrete offer to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus at the end of the season.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Argentine's future has been a regular talking point with the Bianconeri this term and he has managed just four league starts since the turn of the year.

As such, the attacker has been linked with a probable summer exit with interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United, but Tuttomercato claims the duo could face competition from the Reds.

The outlet also suggests that the Merseyside giants are planning a concrete transfer package for the versatile forward, who is valued in excess of £100m by the Serie A holders.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has recently stressed that the club will not be making any big-name signings in the summer and based on this, it appears unlikely that they will seek to pursue Dybala.

Even if they do, Dybala would want assurances of gametime under Klopp and that won't be the case, unless the German opts for the 4-2-3-1 formation which has been rarely used this term.

At present, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino remain the constant choices upfront in a 4-3-3 setup and Klopp is likely to stick with the same set of players next term barring injury.
