Manchester United and Dinamo Zagreb are locked in talks to confirm the transfer of highly rated youth international Dan Olmo. The attacking midfielder, who helped Spain win the under-21 tournament and scored three goals on the way to glory, is worth a reported £40 million.
The agent of Olmo has been very vocal regarding rumours of a transfer to Old Trafford for his client, insisting that his client can play "for any club" after a series of stunning displays in the under-21 tournament this summer.
"At this point I can't comment on it. Serious talks start from today, ultimately decided by Dinamo and Olmo, of course," Andyja Baru told Sportske Novosti.
"I send all interested clubs to Dinamo and when the clubs agree a fee, I will come to agree on the conditions for Dani.
"Dani can play for any club as he has already showed this at the Euro U21s. When we are talking about Manchester United, they have no such player as Olmo."
It is understood that Man Utd have already sent representatives of the club to Croatia to discuss terms regarding a move for Olmo.
