Arsenal are understood to be close to reaching an agreement with Celtic over the signing of defender Kieran Tierney.
The north London side have already had a couple of bids rebuffed for the Scotland international but they have still continued with their pursuit of his services.
According to Sky Sports News, the Gunners are close to securing a deal for the left-sided defender, given they are only a couple of pounds apart from the Hoops' valuation.
It had previously been suggested that the Hoops had placed a £25m price tag on the player's head but reports have emerged that the club are looking for a higher sum for their asset, considering the Gunners' payment proposal.
Owing to a limited £45m budget for the summer, Unai Emery's side have sought to negotiate an installment package for most of their transfer targets and the same has proved a stumbling block in pursuing Tierney to date.
Arsenal have become active during the closing stages of the summer transfer window and they have recently announced the signings of Dani Ceballos and William Saliba.
