Napoli chase Javier Saviola

Italian side Napoli are looking to make an ambitious move in the transfer market this summer, signing Javier Saviola from Real Madrid where he has not performed as often as he would have hoped.

The move would be telling for Napoli, who once welcomed another Argentinian number 10 in their squad; the infamous Diego Maradona.



The only problem for Napoli could prove to be the financial hurdle of acquiring Saviola - estimated to be valued at around £8 million by Real Madrid - and paid an enormous £70,000 a week wage packet.



However, Saviola is also known to wish to follow in the foot steps of one of his heroes, Maradona, and a move could be plausible.
