Queiroz talks Benfica

25 March 2008 - 22:23

Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has revealed that he is flattered to have been linked with the vacant managers job at Benfica; and his shady response has indicated that the Portuguese coach may have some interest in taking the job in the future.

  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • Queiroz said: "This is something I do not want to talk about.

“I do not want to contribute to speculation concerning Benfica, a great club and institution.

"Every statement released by the Portuguese press in direct speech is false. I have never commented on Benfica's current situation to anyone.

"But it is always an honour and a privilege to know that a great institution like Benfica may ponder on my name to serve their needs."
