Liverpool grabbed an important 3 points in the away victory at Sunderland with goals from Voronin and Sissoko's first goal for the club. Elsewhere, Chelsea beat Birmingham 1-0, Villa beat Fulham 2-1 and Bolton scored an impressive 3-0 victory against Reading.
Two late goals in the West Ham 1-1 Wigan game from Scharner and a late leveller from Bowyer were enough for each side to take a share of the points.

Shaun Maloney scored a late, late goal for Aston Villa as they defeated Fulham 2-1. Dempsey scored an early goal for Fulham, but it was not enough as Ashley Young scored a great goal for Villa. Shaun Maloney came off the bench to score and wrap up an excellent result for the Villains.
