Arsenals transfer plans revealed for January

Arsenal expect quiet January transfer window

Arsenal's transfer plans revealed for January

16 October 2019 - 18:17

Arsenal are reportedly unlikely to make any signings when the transfer window reopens at the beginning of the year.

  • Chelsea agree personal terms with Messinho
  • Arsenal very impressed by 41-goal striker ahead of possible move

  • The north London side had a busy summer transfer window where they pursued five players on permanent deals while Dani Ceballos joined them on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.

According to The Athletic, the Gunners' hierarchy are satisfied with the business made during the summer and they are unlikely to spend on new recruits at the turn of the year.

Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi are some of the first-team stars within the Gunners squad, who have been touted to leave the Emirates but it is unclear whether the club will sanction any departures at the midway stage of the season.

Arsenal have had their concerns in the defensive department this season but they have nonetheless accumulated 15 points from the opening eight Premier League matches and sit in the third spot on the table.

Unai Emery's side are scheduled to face Sheffield United on the road on Monday night and they can anticipate a testing challenge with the Blades conceding not more than one goal at home this season.
