Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is reportedly eyeing a winter move for Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, should the Blues manage to overcome their transfer ban.

  • The Serbia international has made more than 175 appearances for Lazio since his debut in 2015 and over the past 18 months, he has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

According to The Mirror, Lampard has plans to bolster the midfield department despite the fact that the likes of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante have impressed this season.

It is added that Milinkovic-Savic has been identified as the top target and the Blues will make an offer worth £70m for the Serbian in January, provided their transfer ban is lifted.

The west London giants are presently restricted from registering players for two transfer windows and they are hoping to reduce the embargo by half when their appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport is heard later in nine days' time.
