Barcelona target spills beans on his future

26 December 2019 - 11:44

Barcelona target Dani Olmo has revealed that his time at Dinamo Zagreb is over and is ready to take newer challenges.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The former La Masia prospect was subject to the transfer interest of  Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United in the previous transfer window but eventually, he decided to stay put in Croatia.

    The Spaniard said, (h/t Goal)

"Last summer was an ideal time to take the next step”.

"In the end, it did not happen and I said that I was equally happy because I wanted to play in the Champions League.

"But I think my cycle there is over and I want to take the next step to continue improving."

The 21-year-old was one of the top performers of the Euro U-21 campaign earlier this year, racking up three goals and an assist, which played a vital role for the Spanish national team to lift the title.

Olmo was also bestowed with the Croatian player of the year award following his brilliant 2018/19 campaign, which handed the Croatian outfit a place in the Champions League. He would later go on to score against Shakhtar Donetsk and Man City in the group stage despite failing to progress to the knock-outs.
