Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for second-choice striker, who can provide back-up to Anthony Martial for the centre-forward role.

The Red Devils have been fancied to strengthen the striking department in the New Year despite the fact that Martial, Rashford and Greenwood have impressed leading the line this season.

According to The Mail, Solskjaer is keen on pursuing another back-up marksman in the ranks, given he is concerned regarding the depth of the squad as his side compete across four fronts.

Martial has obviously been the preferred choice to lead the attack in the Premier League but there are still concerns regarding his fitness over the course of the campaign.

Club graduate Greenwood has definitely stepped up as a quality performer off the bench but Solskjaer is still said to want another option, who can make a difference coming on during the backend of matches.
