Real Madrid have reportedly blocked a loan move for midfielder Dani Ceballos amidst the transfer interest from Valencia, according to Marca.
The Spanish star joined Arsenal last summer on a season-long loan, but a timely hamstring injury has hindered his progress.
Having played his last game in November, Ceballos is said to have requested Mikel Arteta to cut short his loan spell so that he can maximise his chances to earn a place in Euro 2020.
Los Blancos now appear to be reluctant on letting the Spaniard join Valencia, who are battling for the top-four spot in La Liga.
Ceballos, in fact, led the Spanish national team to the Euro U-21 glory last year, scoring 6 goals in the process. He also made four appearances in Euro 2020 qualifiers for the senior team.
Zinedine Zidane’s men are currently leading the league table following the 1-0 win against Real Valladolid last night. They will next face Real Zaragoza in the Copa del Rey round of 16.
