Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has reportedly turned down a contract proposal from the Blues as it does not meet his salary demands.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The striker has been sidelined with an ankle problem of late but he has still netted 15 goals from 34 appearances for the Blues this term.

According to The Mirror, the Blues recently presented the marksman with a contract offer but the package was swiftly turned down.

The same outlet claims that Abraham want a salary package on par with Callum Hudson-Odoi, who penned a £180,000-a-week deal this season.

Abraham has made good progress in the recovery from a nagging ankle problem and he is likely to make his comeback before the international break.

Olivier Giroud has impressed in the frontline in his absence and he may struggle to command a starting role unless the Frenchman struggles.

Chelsea are currently fourth in the league standings with 48 points. They hold a three-point advantage over fifth-placed Manchester United.
