RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is reportedly keen on making the move to Liverpool this summer despite the fresh interest from Manchester United.
The Reds have been fancied to sign the German since the turn of the year and reports have claimed that he is the prime target for the club this summer.
According to Bild, United have recently expressed their interest in signing the 24-year-old and they are prepared to guarantee him a regular starting role which may not be the case at Anfield next season.
However, the former Stuttgart graduate appears keen on working under manager Jurgen Klopp and he is prepared to snub interest from both United and Chelsea to join the Reds this summer.
Werner has been in stupendous form for Leipzig this term and he has amassed 27 goals and 12 assists from just 36 appearances in all competitions.
Apart from Werner, the Merseyside giants have their sights on signing Norwich City's Todd Cantwell. The 22-year-old has impressed in his debut Premier League campaign with six goals and two assists from 29 appearances.
