Liverpool are understood to have no plans of re-signing Philippe Coutinho despite the fact that Barcelona have slashed their asking price for the playmaker.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star
  • The Brazil international is currently out on loan with Bayern Munich where he has impressed with nine goals and eight assists from 32 outings, but the German side have opted against buying him permanently.

Hence, he is due to return to the Camp Nou at the conclusion of the Champions League campaign and it has been mentioned that would prefer a return to the Premier League next term.

A recent report claimed that the Blaugrana have lowered their asking price for Coutinho to around £63m and they are hopeful of attracting interest from some of Europe's elite teams.

The Reds have been frequently linked with a move for their former player, but The Mirror suggests that the club are unlikely to make an offer to re-sign the versatile attacker.

Jurgen Klopp's side recently opted against triggering the £50m release clause to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig and they are not keen on any big-money purchases amid the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
