Arsenal are reportedly open to the prospect of swapping Lucas Torreira with AS Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is aiming to rebuild his squad ahead of next season and a number of players are expected to head for the exit door.
Lucas Torreira is one of them, who has been linked with a return to the Serie A and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Uruguayan could be offloaded in a swap deal for Diawara.
Torreira has been linked with the likes of AC Milan and Fiorentina in recent weeks and it appears likely that he could move on from the Gunners, where he has fallen down the pecking order.
The Uruguayan played as the back-up behind Granit Xhaka and loanee Dani Ceballos during the second half of last season and the Gunners are keen on signing the latter on a permanent deal.
Apart from Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi is another player, who seems on the verge of leaving the Gunners. The Frenchman is attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
