Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has said that the club are trying their best to bring in new players before the international transfer deadline on Monday.
The north London side have made a good beginning to the season and they are currently fourth on the table with nine points from four games.
They have recently been fancied to sign a new midfielder, but have been unable to do so with failed approaches for Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar.
The club are running out of time to recruit new players, but Arteta has said that the hierarchy are trying their maximum to make more signings.
"Well, I don’t know. What I can guarantee is that we are doing our maximum for that to happen. Whether we’re going to achieve it or not, I don’t know," He told.
The Gunners return after the international break with an away trip to Manchester City. They have failed to beat the Cityzens in six previous league meetings.
