Porto have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Jesse Lingard on loan from Manchester United.
The England international has fallen out-of-favour under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he has been regularly linked with an exit.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils were in constant contact with Porto in recent weeks to push through the deadline day deal for Alex Telles.
During the negotiations, the Primeira Liga champions reportedly enquired over the possibility of signing Lingard on a season-long loan.
The Lisbon giants recently secured a temporary deal for Malang Sarr from Chelsea and they are now keen on landing Lingard in a similar agreement.
Lingard's current deal with United expires at the end of June next year, but they have the option of a 12-month extension clause.
Hence, they can preserve his transfer value and it remains to be seen whether Lingard is open to joining Porto on loan for the campaign.
Lingard has managed only nine minutes of first-team football this term.
