Anton set to miss campaign

West Ham United defender Anton Ferdinand looks likely to miss the rest of the season to add further to the Hammers' injury woes. West Ham already have fourteen players in the treatment room.

Alan Curbishley said: "It looks like Anton will be out for the rest of the season. His injury just sums up the kind of problems we have been having. It was a blow for us so early in the game. But we just have to get on with it."



It looks like that West Ham are unlikely to risk Ferdinand for the remainder of the year and will prefer to keep him wrapped in cotton wool in preparation for next season.
