United lower Pogba's asking price to just £53m, with Real Madrid at alert

06 November 2020 - 03:02

Paul Pogba could be set for a summer exit from Old Trafford after it was reportedly disclosed that the World Cup winner's price tag has been lowered.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The Frenchman has come under heavy criticism this season and recently lost his starting place in the United team with the gaffer preferring Bruno and McTominay in the middle of the United setup.

According to Spanish publication AS, United is ready and prepared to part ways with Pogba and hence will accept a vastly reduced fee for the World Cup winner in the summer despite being contracted until 2022.

With the player making statements about his admiration for Real Madrid in an interview during international duty last month, Real Madrid seem the preferred destination for Pogba, should the Spanish outfit bid for the French star.

Pogba has struggled throughout the season with his dip in form keeping him on the bench for most part of the season so far, with United having made one of their worst ever starts to a football season.

With this info coming thick and fast, agent Mino Riola, representative of Pogba will be preparing to meet with representatives from the Spanish heavyweights in a bid to secure a move to the Bernabeau come summer.

What Pogba needs to do now is to get back to top form in order to engineer a move to the Spanish capital come the end of the season else he would be overlooked by Fiorentino Perez.
