Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1) vs Istanbul Basaksehir

24 November 2020 - 19:34

Manchester United will be aiming to register back-to-back wins at Old Trafford when they welcome Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League tonight.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Red Devils are presently top of their Champions League group on goal difference to RB Leipzig, but they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Basaksehir in Istanbul earlier this month.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

Dean Henderson made his Champions League debut against Basaksehir earlier this month. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been full of praise for the Englishman ahead of tonight's game and he could retain his position in goal.

In the defence, there could be the solitary change. Victor Lindelof has been struggling with a back issue and he could be replaced with Axel Tuanzebe at the heart of the backline.

Fred and McTominay have been the regular choices for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the centre of the park. The duo could play alongside each other meaning that Nemanja Matic may drop to the bench.

Further forward, Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata could retain their left and right wing positions respectively with Bruno Fernandes operating in the number 10 position.

Upfront, Edinson Cavani could start ahead of Anthony Martial, who has been guilty of squandering clear-cut scoring opportunities. The Frenchman has bagged just two goals from eight outings this term.

Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1): Dean Henderson; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Axel Tuanzebe, Harry Maguire, Alex Telles; Fred, Scott McTominay; Juan Mata, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Edinson Cavani
