Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof were unavailable against Watford due to injuries.
The trio played in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the League Cup semi-final, but they were absent from the matchday squad to face the Hornets in the FA Cup third round.
United were not overly impressive with the raft of changes on Saturday, but they managed to secure their berth in the fourth round after the solitary goal from Scott McTominay.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer was asked about the absence of Pogba, Shaw and Lindelof and he responded by saying that 'they are injured' without elaborating the exact nature of their concerns.
The Red Devils will be in Premier League action against Burnley on Tuesday night and a point would see them jump ahead of Liverpool to the top of the table. Solskjaer's side will come up against Liverpool on the road next weekend.
