Arsenal prepared to wait for Buendia

Arsenal make Emiliano Buendia transfer decision

20 January 2021 - 20:42

Arsenal have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Emiliano Buendia during the current transfer window.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The Gunners are on the search for a creative midfielder this month and they have been widely fancied to sign the Argentine.

A recent report from Sky Sports News claimed that the Gunners would need to offer at least £40m to tempt the Canaries into a sale.

That appears unlikely to happen with their limited budget and The Mail claims that the club will delay their pursuit until the summer.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta remains a huge admirer of Buendia, but he is prepared to wait until the end of the season to land his services.

Still, the club may look to pursue an attacking midfielder in the next 10 days and they have recently been linked with Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard has played just 367 minutes of first-team football for Real Madrid and he has been linked with a loan exit.

The Gunners have a good relationship with Los Blancos, having recently loaned Dani Ceballos for a second straight season.
