Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles is desperate to leave the club on loan to enhance his Euro 2020 prospects with England.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with an exit in the summer and The Athletic's David Ornstein revealed that Wolves had offered £18m for him.
However, the Gunners rejected the advances to keep hold of their academy graduate, but that has not proved useful for the player.
Maitland-Niles has vastly played in the full-back or wing-back positions and he has particularly excelled in the latter of those roles.
With manager Mikel Arteta reverting to a four-man defence, Maitland-Niles has recently gone out of the picture for a regular starting place.
Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney have been the regulars in the right and left-back spots while Cedric Soares is now the back-up for them.
Owing to this, Maitland-Niles is fearful of missing out on the England squad for Euro 2020 and he is keen to pursue a temporary exit.
Wolves are likely to revive their pursuit of the England international, who prefers to play as a central midfielder.
