Chelsea and Manchester United have received a potential boost in signing Erling Haaland with reports suggesting that Borussia Dortmund could sell him for £65m this summer.
The Norwegian has been in stunning form for Dortmund since his move from Red Bull Salzburg last winter and he has registered 37 goals and seven assists from just 38 games.
Haaland has a £65m release clause on his contract, but that does not become active until June 2022. It has been previously claimed that any interested club may have to pay around £100m to convince Dortmund to sell him this summer.
However, that does not appear the case and OK Diario reports that Dortmund could be willing to accept a similar fee to the buy-out clause due to their precarious financial situation.
The club have experienced an average league campaign and they are currently one point adrift of the top four and 13 behind runaway leaders Bayern Munich.
There has been the speculation that there could be a flash sale in the summer if they are unable to qualify for the elite competition. Aside from Haaland, the likes of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro have been linked with exits.
