Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he can't set a suitable return date for Thomas Partey, who is nursing a hamstring injury.
The Ghanaian has experienced a tough debut season with the Gunners and prior to the latest setback, he suffered back-to-back thigh injuries.
Speaking ahead of the Leeds United game, Arteta said that the club need to stay patient after the fresh injury concern for the midfielder.
"It is a difficult one, he felt something during the game and we didn’t think it was too bad but after the scan looked a little bit worse," he told Arsenal.com.
"He won’t be available to play against Leeds and we will see how it evolves in the next two days but it is a muscular issue."
Partey may be out of action for a couple of weeks at least and that could see Dani Ceballos start alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield.
The Spaniard has not played for the Gunners since January 14, initially due to a calf problem before remaining an unused substitute.
He will be eager to prove his point against Leeds, particularly after the speculation that Real Madrid want to sign him permanently.
