AC Milan are reportedly content with the performances of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori and could sign him on a permanent basis.
The centre-back joined the Rossoneri on loan in January with the option to buy for around £24m during the summer transfer window.
He has since made 11 appearances for the club and his displays have impressed the backroom staff as well as the hierarchy.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri are 'so happy' with the impact from the England international.
They are already looking at triggering the buy clause in his contract, and a final decision will be made at the end of the season.
Milan are currently second in the Serie A table, but the title race seems over with a nine-point gap to runaway leaders Inter.
However, they are six points ahead of fifth-placed Napoli, who have a game in hand against Juventus next month.
A Champions League finish could be key to the Rossoneri affording the permanent transfer of the Blues graduate.
