Coppell wants Hleb action

20 April 2008 - 09:59

Reading boss Steve Coppell has called for action to be taken against Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb. The Belarussian was caught in a tangle with Graeme Murty and seemed to use excessive force against the player.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "Hleb slapped him across the neck and it is clearly visible on the video. It is there to see," Coppell fumed.

"I don't know how the procedure is at the Football Association. It seems some mystery man phones in and says 'have a look at the tape'.

"The whole process is unexplainable and arbitrary. Maybe someone in their front room somewhere will do something about it."
